Healing Sound Meditation

Healing sound supports you to calm your mind; release pain, anxiety, conditioned thought patterns, and stuck emotions; and restore harmony to your whole being. Andrea’s angelic voice with crystal singing bowls is transporting into a deeply relaxed state where spontaneous healing can occur. Includes a chakra clearing practice, meditative songs, sacred drumming, rattle, and bells. Many find this meditation relaxing, rejuvenating, and even transporting to a place of peace that is hard to access otherwise. BRING WITH YOU: Your comfort is important to be able to deeply relax and experience the full benefits of this session! Bring along a thick mat/padding, blankets/sleeping bag, pillows, sitting cushion, etc., to be comfortable sitting for 30-40 minutes and lying down for an extended period of time. Chairs will also be available if you prefer to not lie down.

Homemade Soap, Salt Scrubs and Salt Soaks

Let’s refresh your senses and renew your skin as we make some all natural and elegant bath products together! This is a hands-on class where I will guide you in creating aromatherapeutic salt scrubs (with a coconut oil base) and salt soaks in week 1 and luxurious bath bars (with a glycerin soap base) in week 2. I will also give you the resources to continue your designs at home. We will be working with various essential oils (rosemary, lavender, citrus, peppermint, etc), so for those with sensitivities or allergies, please be aware. I hope you will join me for a few nights of creativity with endless possibilities!

Hula Hoop Class

Are you looking to have fun while getting a good work out? Well, this is the class that can provide you with both at the same time. Come join me for an hour to see for yourself that working out can be a lot of fun! Don’t think you can hula hoop? I have the solution for that by providing a variety of sizes and weighted hula hoops to make it easier to learn the skill of hooping. Hope to see you at class so we can have fun together! Instructor will provide hula hoops for class. Custom made Hula Hoops are available for $20. No class 4/16.

Hunters Safety Course

Firearm Hunters Safety Course - Online and 1 Day

This combined course requires that students complete the knowledge portion of the course Online and then attend a skills and exam day which is about 7 hours long. Only after students complete the quizzes and exam are they provided with a voucher to print out and bring for admittance into the skills and exam day. In the skills and exam session students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%. Students must complete the online portion of the course then call Windham Raymond Adult Ed to register for the Skills and Exam Day. Students must bring their voucher and survival kit to participate in the class. Please visit www.hunter-ed.com/maine to complete the online portion of the course. Children MUST be 10 years of age or older on or after 3/30/2019 to attend. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire class.

Introduction to Essential Oils

Come discover the world of essential oils in this overview class that will discuss what they are, how they are made, and how they can be used to enhance your life. This session will touch upon the most commonly used essential oils and will cover safety precautions. The oils will be presented generically; certain brands or companies will not be reviewed. We will also discuss the different quality of essential oils that are on the market and how to make an educated decision when faced with many different brand choices. Participants will get a chance to smell and try on essential oils that the instructor will have on hand, and will receive copies of recipes to make items on their own, as well as instructions on how to blend essential oils effectively.

Come learn the essential skills and knowledge the novice kayaker or “never been before but always wanted to try it” paddler needs for recreational kayaking. In a one day of onthe-water instruction, we will cover a variety of kayaking fundamentals from safety equipment, rescue techniques, smooth entering and exiting, to weather and water conditions, and more. Learn the basic types of kayaks and how to select the one that is best for you. Kayaks, paddles and PFD’s for all on-the-water instruction will be provided.
