H.I.I.T. it Hard!

Kick your metabolism into over drive! Join this high-energy class incorporating intense bursts of exercise followed by active recovery periods. High intensity interval training is an excellent total body workout to burn calories, improve endurance and build overall strength. Regressions and progressions provided, making this class great for all ability levels. Bring your own exercise mat (a towel will also work) and water bottle. No class 2/19

Homemade Soap, Salt Scrubs and Salt Soaks

Let’s refresh your senses and renew your skin as we make some all natural and elegant bath products together! This is a hands-on class where I will guide you in creating aromatherapeutic salt scrubs (with a coconut oil base) and salt soaks in week 1 and luxurious bath bars (with a glycerin soap base) in week 2. I will also give you the resources to continue your designs at home. We will be working with various essential oils (rosemary, lavender, citrus, peppermint, etc), so for those with sensitivities or allergies, please be aware. I hope you will join me for a few nights of creativity with endless possibilities!

Hula Hoop Class

Are you looking to have fun while getting a good work out? Well, this is the class that can provide you with both at the same time. Come join me for an hour to see for yourself that working out can be a lot of fun! Don’t think you can hula hoop? I have the solution for that by providing a variety of sizes and weighted hula hoops to make it easier to learn the skill of hooping. Hope to see you at class so we can have fun together! Instructor will provide hula hoops for class. Custom made Hula Hoops are available for $20. No class 4/16.

Hunters Safety Course

Firearm Hunters Safety Course - Online and 1 Day

This combined course requires that students complete the knowledge portion of the course Online and then attend a skills and exam day which is about 7 hours long. Only after students complete the quizzes and exam are they provided with a voucher to print out and bring for admittance into the skills and exam day. In the skills and exam session students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%. Students must complete the online portion of the course then call Windham Raymond Adult Ed to register for the Skills and Exam Day. Students must bring their voucher and survival kit to participate in the class. Please visit www.hunter-ed.com/maine to complete the online portion of the course. Children MUST be 10 years of age or older on or after 3/30/2019 to attend. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire class.

In a one day of onthe-water instruction, we will cover a variety of kayaking fundamentals from safety equipment, rescue techniques, smooth entering and exiting, to weather and water conditions, and more. Learn the basic types of kayaks and how to select the one that is best for you. Kayaks, paddles and PFD’s for all on-the-water instruction will be provided.

Want to try the fastest-growing paddle sport in the nation? Here is a great opportunity for the novice SUP-er or “never been before but always wanted to try it” paddler. Come join Bill &` Katelyn Allen and learn the essential skills and knowledge you need for Stand-Up Paddling, on boards especially designed for ease of use and learning. In a one-day on-the-water instruction, we will cover the basics of SUP’s, types of boards, getting on and off, basic paddle strokes and essential safety issues. Then there will be plenty of time to practice in a quiet, flat water environment.
