Guided Meditation for Stress Management

In this class, the student will learn the tools and techniques to help themselves overcome the effects of stress. Guided Meditation for stress management is one of the parts of the Shamanic Healing process.  It is a proven method of using gentle breathing and meditation to guide the body in healing itself.  In today’s world, we are subjected to large amounts of stress. This stress negatively affects our minds, our bodies, and our well-being. Bob’s practice is “An Island of Peace in a Sea of Turmoil.” He is a Shamanic Practitioner.  In this class, he will be using drumming vibrations, incense, and voice guidance to show the participants how to reduce the stress within themselves and encourage their bodies to heal.

Homemade Soap, Salt Scrubs and Salt Soaks

Let’s refresh your senses and renew your skin as we make some all natural and elegant bath products together! This is a hands-on class where I will guide you in creating aroma-therapeutic salt scrubs (with a coconut oil base) and salt soaks in week 1 and luxurious bath bars (with a glycerin soap base) in week 2.  I will also give you the resources to continue your designs at home.  We will be working with various essential oils (rosemary, lavender, citrus, peppermint, etc), so for those with sensitives or allergies, please be aware.  I hope you will join me for a few nights of creativity with endless possibilities!

Come join me for an hour to see for yourself that working out can be a lot of fun! Don’t think you can hula hoop? I have the solution for that by providing a variety of sizes and weighted hula hoops to make it easier to learn the skill of hooping. Hope to see you at class so we can have fun together! Instructor will provide hula hoops for class.  Custom made Hula Hoops are available for $20.

Chris Toy is a Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School instructor and has been teaching Asian cooking in Southern and Midcoast Maine for 30 years. A retired teacher and principal, he learned to cook in his parents’ kitchen. Chris’ classes integrate his love of teaching and great food, creating an engaging mix of techniques, aromas and tastes, highlighting the fusion of Far East foods with local Northeast offerings.

Learning the Process of Forgiveness

"There are many things that can only be seen through eyes that have cried" -- Oscar A. Romero - Archbishop of El Salvador 1977-1980 – Explore our personal views of forgiveness and perhaps open our hearts and minds to a deeper experience of compassion, kindness and unconditional love. Discover ways that one can begin to open a conversation on forgiveness, tolerance and patience into one’s life.  We will review how others grappled with life’s challenges and how these served as instruments of healing. This course’s intentions is to commence a journey towards personal peace by putting forgiveness into action in our own lives we can expand the possibility of peace in the world. We can embody the words of Gandhi and, “Be the change we wish to see in the world.” No class 11/12.

Blanca Lytle, graduated with a Masters in Arts from George Fox Evangelical Seminary, in Portland, OR, and also received a certificate for Spiritual Direction in 2016.  Blanca walks the path of forgiveness for personal healing since 1989. Blanca continues to be a mentor and spiritual guide for those in recovery.
