Wood Slice Ornaments

Craft three beautiful wood slice ornaments! There will be tons of seasonal and holiday designs to add to your ornament and verbiage to choose. You can event “paint” your own design. When you leave, you take home a beautiful project with you to decorate your tree or gift packages!

Acadian Arts Asian Fusion Cooking Retreat-Searsport

Chris Toy is the author of 6 popular cookbooks, a private chef, and has taught Asian-fusion cooking for several Maine community education programs. Cooking students will learn how to prepare a variety of recipes from Asia, Europe, and the Americas incorporating traditional and local ingredients. Each meal will actively engage cooks with the tools, techniques, and stories behind the dishes being created. So much fun to be had! Gabrielle has so many seasonal and holiday designs to choose from. You get to choose ahead of time your stencil design and your project’s background paint/stain color. When you arrive to class you get to do all the fun stuff. There will be a lot of paint colors to choose from to make your project your own. The class is instructor-led, so you will have the experience of Gabrielle to guide you along the way. Learn how to avoid those nasty bleeds on your project and stencil with confidence. When you leave, you take home a beautiful project!

Join us next February 2-5, 2024 for Carnival de Québec, one of the world’s largest winter carnivals! We will travel from Portland on a deluxe Custom Coach and stay three nights at the iconic Chateau Frontenac! Wander through the winter wonderland of North America’s oldest and most European city. Enjoy a host of outdoor activities for all ages, including snow slides, dog sledding, ice castle snow sculptures, sleigh rides, skating and much more! Explore quaint boutiques or enjoy live music, ice bars and fine restaurants where Québec City chefs combine French-Canadian heritage with fine local products to create unforgettable meals.
