Exploring Your Spiritual Gifts

Do you see, hear, or feel things that others do not? Are you very sensitive to others around you? Do you wonder if you are a healer or a psychic or wish that you were? Have you been visited by someone who has passed? Do you enjoy getting a reading? Have you had gifts since childhood and no one understood you? Have you had things happen to you recently that you don't understand, but would like to

talk with someone about it who is knowledgeable? We all have spiritual gifts and experiences. If you would like to explore your gifts, and perhaps learn new ones in a safe environment, this class is for you.

Wednesdays, 3/27 – 4/10, 6:00 - 8:30 PM for 3 sessions

Lashell Moon is an Interfaith Minister and a Holistic Healer/Teacher. She enjoys sharing deeply with others to help them become the truth of who they are and to assist them on their sacred path. She utilizes many modalities and spiritual gifts for healing of mind, body and spirit. She provides an unconditionally loving space for you to grow in awareness, experience deep healing and open to your gifts of Spirit.

Felted Clutch - Beginner/Intermediate

Felted Clutch – Beginner/Intermediate

Join Patty in this class to learn how to use the felting technique of booking to create a purse. This method gives a bit more dimension to your handbag. In the first class we will build your purse, using a book resist and a merino wool. In the second class we will sew on a metal kiss clasp and embellish to give your bag a beautiful finish. At the end of our four-hour class, you will walk away with a complete clutch. Materials needed: 4 ounces of roving – choose from Merino, Cordial or Romney. (Please no peace fleece for this class); Bath towel; Wool can be purchased at Portfiber, 50 Cove St., Portland.

Patricia (Patty) Collins has discovered, through felting, a fun, therapeutic and easy-to-do art form that she is excited to share with others. As a mom of two, grandmother of four, and full-time program coordinator, she finds in felting a way to express her creativity in a relaxing, calming, and gratifying experience. Patty will confidently instruct others to be amazed by their own talents through felting.

Felted Hats - Beginner/Intermediate

Felted Hats – Beginner/Intermediate

Come learn how to make these fun and colorful hats using both needle and wet felting techniques. In the first class, we will be using a foam hat form to build the shell for your hat. In the next class, we will wet-felt and shape your hat.

The hats are fun to make and great for the beginner to experienced felter. Tools will be available to use in class. If

you have a multi-tool and needles, please feel free to bring them! Materials needed: 5 ounces of roving – choose from Merino, Cordial or Romney. (Please no peace fleece for this class); Bath towel; Wool can be purchased at Portfiber, 50 Cove St., Portland.

Felted Slippers – Beginner/Intermediate

Come learn how to make warm wool slippers. In this class you will learn how to make wool slippers using resist and wet felting techniques. We will build one slipper in each session. The slippers are fun to make and great for the beginner to experienced felter. Resist and tools will be provided by the instructor. Materials needed: 6 ounces of roving – choose from Merino, Cordial or Romney. (Please no peace fleece for this class); Bath towel; Wool can be purchased at Portfiber, 50 Cove St., Portland.

First Aid

Do you know what to do in the event of a medical emergency? Join Charissa Kerr, firefighter and Advanced EMT, to learn how to respond to medical emergencies, bleeding that you can see, bleeding you cannot see, treating for shock, and how and when to call emergency services. The course cost includes all necessary practical components, and a certification from the American Heart Association. The workbook is not included in the fee. If you would like a workbook, please check the box on your online registration form. You pay the instructor for the book on the night of the class. Book fee: $10.

Fishing Talk with Captain Scott

Fishing Talk with Captain Scott

This class will focus on the basics of fresh water spring trolling for Maine’s cold-water species and inshore and offshore saltwater fishing. Capt Scott will share some of his secrets to success on Sebago Lake for salmon and lake trout and Maine’s coast for stripers, mackerel, haddock, cod and sharks. We will cover safety, weather, different types of rod and reel combinations, electronics, and areas to focus your time on the water. Whether you are a first-time fisherman or an experienced angler, this informational session will be of interest. No equipment or experience needed for class.

Guided Meditation for Stress Management

In this class, the student will learn the tools and techniques to help themselves overcome the effects of stress. Guided Meditation for stress management is one of the parts of the Shamanic Healing process. It is a proven method of using gentle breathing and meditation to guide the body in healing itself. In today’s world, we are subjected to large amounts of stress. This stress negatively affects our minds, our bodies, and our well-being. Bob’s practice is “An Island of Peace in a Sea of Turmoil.” He is a Shamanic Practitioner. In this class, he will be using drumming vibrations, incense, and voice guidance to show the participants how to reduce the stress within themselves and encourage their bodies to heal.
