200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification Program

An in-depth Coaching Yoga, Coaching Life Certification program for those seeking to teach, or to deepen their journey.  The Coaching Yoga, Coaching Life Certification is built around finding your voice first – as an inspired teacher or as an inspired yogi, encouraging you to step outside of the “box”.  Tuition includes 200 hours of classroom instruction covering these topics: Techniques, training and practice; teaching methodology; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers; practicum, instructional materials.

A note for students interested in pursuing certification through Yoga Alliance:  In order to qualify for certification through Yoga Alliance, students are responsible for completion of additional coursework relevant to the area of interest in these subject areas:  techniques, training and practice, teaching methodologies, yoga self-exploration; and complete Family Crisis Volunteer Program (taught by Family Crisis Services). These components are not covered by tuition charged for this program.

Please note: The teacher of this program is not affiliated with Yoga Alliance; however, the coursework noted in this program and recommended as additional coursework exceeds Yoga Alliance requirements and may be applied as Continuing Education for yoga teachers wishing to register with Yoga Alliance.

A retired teacher and principal, he learned to cook in his parents’ kitchen. Chris’ classes integrate his love of teaching and great food creating an engaging mix of techniques, aromas and tastes, highlighting the fusion of Far East flavors with local Northeast offerings.

Join us for a fun filled class! Create a gift, bring the fragrance of Christmas into your home and keep Maine green all winter long. Using provided materials, you will choose to make either; a beautiful 16” Kissing Ball of Maine Balsam Fir decorated with red ribbons or the classic Maine traditional 24” Balsam Fir Wreath. Your kissing Ball is designed to be hung in an archway or outdoors, your wreath hung on an outside door or wall. Both will remain fresh throughout the holidays and beyond. After the holidays, recycle the balsam into a fragrant sachet.

Bring to class: gloves and small hand pruners.

Materials fees paid to instructor: $13/Kissing Ball, $11 Wreath.

Materials provided: Freshly harvested Maine Balsam Fir from our local woodlot, red ribbon, kissing ball form or reusable easy clamp wreath ring. Additional supplies are available.

This course is for individuals interested in learning American Sign Language (ASL). In addition to an introductory discussion about deaf culture, the course will cover basic principles in the use of sign vocabulary and facial grammar in conversational ASL. We will be using the following book which students should purchase once it has been determined the class will run and bring to the second night of class: Learning American Sign Language, 2nd Edition, by Padden and Humpries.

Come join a class where you can have fun while learning to play a guitar. All that’s needed is a guitar and the same desire you’ve always had. Reading music is a skill not needed. We will progress at a pace that all can accomplish and understand. I am self- taught and believe that with a little push start, everyone can make music and reach the objective to be a guitar player. 1st class guitar required. 2nd class Electronic tuner and Capo needed.
